February 2021 Manila Philippines: Family First Philippines (locally “Pamilya Muna Pilipinas”) signed a 5 year Memorandum of Understanding with the Armed Forces of the Philippines to train members of every branch of the Philippine military under the Family Welfare and Transformational Leadership Program. This is part of the AFP’s Transformation Roadmap that aims to transform the AFP into a strong and credible public institution. And it includes technological and organizational advances and the character development of the each soldier. It emphasizes on the importance of servant leadership, excellence and integrity on the work front and the home front. The AFP Family Welfare and Transformational Leadership Program is aimed to reach 125,000 active members of the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force including the 360,000 reservists.

“We are deeply honored to partner with both the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines to help their members develop their leadership skills both on the home front and the work front” offered Dr. Grace Sumbillo, FFP’s Executive Director. “We honor the men and women who serve the people of the Philippines in both our Armed Forces and our National Police. It is a great privilege to serve them in further developing their outstanding leadership skills” she concluded.

“We thank God for this opportunity for service” said Glenn Yu, the President of FFP. “FFP, like all Family First Global Nations, is a non-profit service organization that seeks to help strengthen marriages and families regardless of race, regional origin, religious affiliation, or social-economic background.  We are thankful for our partners at Family First Global and across the Philippines who have helped us over the years. It is an honor to serve families all over the Philippines, very much including our outstanding Military and Police” he continued.

“Family First Philippines service to all members of its Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police demonstrates the power of servant leadership. They aren’t looking for any reward other than seeing marriages and families strengthened throughout two of the most important institutions in their nation” explained Professor Gregory W. Slayton, the Chairman of Family First Global. “We truly believe the FFG Motto ‘Strengthen Your Family, Strengthen The World.’ We salute the great team at FFP for their service to the Philippines” he opined.
